About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team at SA Health. As a FACEM ED Consultant, you will play a key role in coordinating the delivery of emergency services to patients within the Riverland General Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in emergency medicine to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and safety.
  • Collaborate with the RMCLHN Executive Teams to ensure effective coordination of emergency services.
  • Lead and manage a team of emergency medicine professionals to achieve excellent patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including medical staff, hospital administrators, and community leaders.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
  • Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine.
  • Minimum of 5 years at a senior level of professional practice in emergency medicine.
  • Experience in managing budgets and leading teams.
