Senior Clinical Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a committed Quality Assurance Professional to join our team in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs. The successful candidate will play a leading role in shaping and driving quality assurance strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, drive and evaluate the organisation's quality assurance strategy
- Create a quality assurance framework which supports the organisation's current and future state needs
- In partnership with Onemda's Research & innovation Centre, strive for and embed sector-leading clinical quality and practice standards
- Ensure clinical risks are effectively addressed including risk management, incident management and safeguards
- Ensure compliance with best practice standards and legislative requirements in relation to clinical care
- Support in building and inspiring a culture of continuous improvement ensuring participants and their families and carers receive high quality and valued services
- Be responsible for developing and driving the organisation's audit and compliance framework
- Provide input and support with the organisation's Governance Assurance Framework and Corporate Risk Register
Requirements
- Demonstrated capability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team that provides the overall organisational leadership and direction to the organisation
- Ability to lead, inspire and mentor a culture of proud standards and customer care
- A proven track record in leading projects and establishing new operational processes and behaviours through a framework of cooperation and collegial support
- Knowledge and experience in clinical and quality assurance programs and frameworks
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship skills with strong collaboration and negotiating ability
- Experience in creating a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork
- Sound engagement skills with experience in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders
What You'll Need
- The right qualifications: a tertiary qualification in Quality, Risk and Compliance or related business field. An MBA or post graduate qualification in specialist areas such as quality and clinical assurance, broad organisational wide quality management systems, safety and leadership would be well regarded.
- Some relevant experience: At least three (3) years of progressive leadership experience in Quality Assurance
- Knowledge and understanding: You'll know the essential principles of the Disability Services Act 2006, the NDIS and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards standards. Plus, you'll have experience upholding quality safeguards for people with a disability, and a sound knowledge of the Victorian Charter of Human Rights.
