About the Role

Our Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect Centre seeks volunteers to join our team in providing support activities that empower carers and family members to make meaningful change in their lives.

The role involves welcoming new people, providing centre information, collecting details of attendees, assisting speakers with group activities, attending groups, sharing experiences, participating in training sessions, and contributing ideas during activities.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to engage in a range of support activities that contribute to the overall functioning and sustainability of the mental health system.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Personal experience as a carer or supporter of someone with mental health challenges or psychosocial distress and recovery
  • Valid Australian Driver License
  • Non-judgmental, supportive attitude and ability to empathise
  • Current or willingness to obtain required checks and clearances
