Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop in-depth domain knowledge across platform products and link the dots to see the big picture.
  2. Lead strategic design projects that shape key customer experiences, working hands-on and owning end-to-end user experience designs.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and develop innovative design solutions, translating findings into simple yet engaging user experiences.
  4. Navigate ambiguity, exploring conceptual, JTBD, and competitive landscapes to achieve product market fit.
  5. Lead a team of product designers, providing mentorship, setting clear career paths, and coaching designers regularly.
  6. Oversee end-to-end user experience designs, steering team designs through product requirements.
  7. Provide actionable feedback, helping team members navigate stakeholders and projects.
  8. Establish and evolve the design system and guidelines for consistency and high quality across products.
  9. Build a robust design team and culture, mentoring designers and promoting user-centered design thinking.
Requirements
  1. 8+ years of experience as a UX/Product designer, including 4+ years in a leadership role managing designers.
  2. Experience working in a fast-paced tech start-up environment.
  3. Strong product logic and first principle thinking.
  4. Ability to explore and thrive in ambiguous project contexts.
  5. Solid track record of project management and delivery.
  6. Outcome-oriented.
  7. Financial industry experience is a plus, but intellectual curiosity is essential.
  8. Experience working in complex systems with multi-disciplinary, multi-threaded user journeys.
  9. A track record of recruiting and hiring a world-class design team.
  10. Strong portfolio showcasing project experience with both UI and UX design for responsive web platforms.
  11. Expertise with design tools like Figma and strong visual design sensibility.
  12. Expertise with growing Design Systems with complicated, cross-domain components.
  13. Analytical and user-focused, able to understand complex problems and turn them into simple solutions.
  14. Master communicator who can articulate design rationale and sell ideas to stakeholders.
  15. Passion for mentorship and helping designers achieve their full potential.
  16. Degree in Design, HCI, or related field or equivalent battle-tested experience.
