In response to ongoing growth and the initiation of new projects, our Urban Development & Regeneration division is looking for a Principal Engineer to enhance our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical guidance and oversight for the daily execution of urban development engineering designs, ensuring adherence to budgetary, quality, safety, and timeline objectives.
- Oversee selected designs and teams to ensure the highest standards of technical delivery through a rigorous review process, consistently surpassing client expectations.
- Establish and maintain effective and lasting relationships with internal teams, technical disciplines, and external organizations to enhance collaboration and optimize our technical offerings, ensuring the integrity and quality of the overall design.
- Manage subconsultants, ensure quality assurance, gather client feedback, and facilitate effective communication regarding any changes or modifications.
- Promote the involvement and integration of our interstate and international teams, ensuring a seamless service offering.
Qualifications & Experience:

- Accreditation from Melbourne Retail Water Agencies (MRWA) for sewer and water auditing.
- A relevant degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, recognized by an appropriate Industry Association or Institute; Chartered professional status or equivalent, along with a postgraduate qualification, is highly regarded.
- A minimum of ten years of extensive industry experience, including oversight of engineering aspects in projects and application of standards and technical knowledge within the urban development sector.
- The capability to provide technical expertise and direction through consultative support and effective communication with teams.
- Experience in leading, managing, mentoring, and developing diverse project teams of varying sizes.
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams on significant complex projects across various market sectors.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
