- Risk Management: Develop and implement the risk management framework and practices aligned to the AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018 standard and the office's risk appetite and tolerance.
- Financial Management Expertise: Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in financial management, accounting, auditing, taxation, and payroll, preferably in a public sector context.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: High-level skills in financial analysis, interpretation, and reporting, with the ability to provide sound and timely advice and recommendations on complex and sensitive financial matters and decisions.
- Procurement and Contract Management: High-level skills in procurement and contract management, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor procurement processes and outcomes, ensuring value for money, probity, and transparency.
- Financial Systems and Software: High-level skills in using financial systems and software relevant to the role, with the ability to maintain, improve, and troubleshoot financial systems and processes.
- Leadership and Management: Demonstrated high-level skills in leading and managing a financial function, including providing effective leadership, direction, and supervision.
