At Stantec, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Water team in Australia. As a key member of our NSW-based water group, you will play a crucial role in delivering water infrastructure solutions across metropolitan, regional, and remote contexts.

We have a healthy workload focused on water supply and sewerage schemes with key water authorities in New South Wales. In this position, you will work closely with a diverse group of highly skilled professionals who 'design with community in mind' to deliver program and project excellence for our water clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan, program, and coordinate specific projects with the Project Manager to deliver agreed outputs on budget, on time, and to quality standards.
  • Manage and assist in civil engineering, design management, and project management from planning to construction support of water and wastewater infrastructure as lead or member of a larger team.
  • Perform broad, varied, and diverse water and wastewater infrastructure engineering design tasks, including engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory agencies.
  • Engage in the development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and prepare documentation in various civil phases.
  • Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact, and communication pertaining to specific projects.
  • Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments serve as liaison between senior engineer and design team.
  • Ensure all technical outputs conform to project scope, are safe, and of appropriate quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartership/RPEQ or working towards is highly regarded.
  • Relevant professional experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Strong technical experience in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks.

We offer an attractive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as flexible working arrangements, learning and talent development programs, purchasing up to four weeks additional leave, and more.
