Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity to oversee and manage all aspects of workers' compensation claims for injured workers.

The position involves coordinating medical care, facilitating return-to-work programs, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Please note that this role requires a strong understanding of workers' compensation legislation and regulations, as well as the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategically manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims across NSW
  2. Oversee the lifecycle of workers' compensation claims - front end or long term
  3. Develop and implement return-to-work plans in collaboration with the injured worker, medical providers and other stakeholders
  4. Guide, educate and support injured workers on their rights, benefits, and responsibilities under workers' compensation laws
  5. Collaborate with customer management and injured workers to facilitate a smooth transition back to work
  6. Analyse claims data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  7. Prepare reports for management on claims status, outcomes, and recommendations for enhancements
  8. Ensure compliance with state and federal workers' compensation regulations
Requirements:
  • 3+ years in a similar case management role, preferably in the workers compensation or insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of workers compensation legislation and regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritise effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in using case management systems and MS Office suite
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (i.e. nursing, allied health, social work) is highly regarded
