The primary function of the Employment Advocate is to provide expert advice and support to union members regarding their employment entitlements.
This role involves providing guidance on grievance procedures, representing members in meetings with employers, and promoting their rights under collective agreements.
About the Role- Provide expert advice to members on employment matters
- Support members in making grievances and enforcing employment entitlements
- Represent members and the union in collective and individual meetings
- Maintain relationships with employer representatives and union members
- Deliver high-quality advice and support to members
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Contribute to the achievement of the Union's goals and objectives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Passion for improving workers' lives and achieving the Union's goals
