As a Senior Advisor - Approvals and Closure, you will play a critical role in assisting the Principal – Approvals and Closure in identifying and obtaining all statutory environmental approvals (State and Federal) and associated studies required across the company's operations to meet construction and operational timeframes and ensure closure obligations are identified and achieved.

The opportunity to work with a successful Gold Mining Organisation and contribute to our vision of building the premium Australian gold miner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in identifying all State and Commonwealth statutory approvals and associated studies, in accordance with the project approval strategy.
  • Assist in developing application documents for the State and Commonwealth approvals.
  • Develop specific scopes of work for specialist consultants. Manage the execution of work to meet quality, budget and schedule requirements.
  • Assist in the identification and management of critical risks tied to approvals by ensuring that risk mitigation measures and their timelines are allocated, monitored, and executed.
  • Provide approvals advice to internal stakeholders on how to best meet company objectives.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address issues and ensure effective management of approval processes and closure.
  • Assist in Mine Closure and rehabilitation planning, scheduling, design and costing.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management or similar.
  • Two years minimum site-based experience.
