Business Intelligence Specialist

This role offers a unique blend of client management and analytical expertise. Working within a leading Data Solutions organization, you will be responsible for delivering market-driven insights to valued FMCG clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to FMCG clients, providing analytical support and recommendations on promotional activity, category review and planning, marketing, media and overall brand and category strategy
  • Manage complex conversations with clients, identifying their needs and delivering relevant solutions back to their key stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Work towards performance metrics such as client retention and satisfaction, cross-selling and up-selling new and existing products
  • Collaborate on accounts with fellow business intelligence specialists across the business unit, and liaise regularly with the internal product team for feedback and enhancement on a range of products

This position requires:

  • Higher education qualifications in a related field
  • 3-4 years working within a Retail / FMCG business in buying/category/sales or in an analytics consulting role within the FMCG industry
  • Experience analyzing data (customer, transaction or sales data) in an FMCG context
  • The ability to work proactively and leverage available resources to problem solve, with support from colleagues and senior consultants
  • Experience working with stakeholders (both internal and ideally externally) up to a senior / director level
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain and distil complex information and data into actionable strategies for clients
