Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Aged Care Facility Manager for short-term placements across aged care services in rural and remote Australia. These rewarding placements offer the opportunity to provide leadership and stability in facilities where your expertise is most needed.

The successful candidate will have at least two years' experience in aged care management, including recent (within the last 12 months) experience as a Facility Manager in a Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF). They will also have demonstrated knowledge of ACFI, aged care funding models, Quality Standards, and accreditation processes.

The role involves overseeing the operational and clinical management of residential aged care facilities in accordance with organisational policy and government regulations. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, ACFI, accreditation requirements, and continuous improvement frameworks, maintain accurate records, reports, and clinical documentation aligned with current legislation and internal procedures, support and mentor staff to promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence in care, manage facility budgets, resources, and occupancy levels effectively, engage with residents, families, staff, and the wider community with compassion and professionalism.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least two years' experience in aged care management, including recent (within the last 12 months) experience as a Facility Manager in a Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ACFI, aged care funding models, Quality Standards, and accreditation processes
  • Current Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or willingness to obtain prior to placement
  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration is highly desirable but not essential
