Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior Lawyer Advocate to join our team in the Specialist Advocacy Unit. As a Senior Lawyer Advocate, you will play a key role in representing Victoria Police in state-wide complex and high-profile prosecutions.

About the Role

  • You will be responsible for preparing and appearing in court, managing competing priorities effectively, and providing legal advice to support policing, courts, and the Victorian community.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You must be an Australian Lawyer, admitted to practice with an unrestricted Australian Practising Certificate or be immediately eligible to apply for one.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the law of evidence, bail, sentencing and criminal procedure is essential.
  • You should have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
