Job Overview

We are currently offering an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team in this dynamic agricultural region.

This critical role requires the ability to build long lasting relationships with customers, deliver expert advice and services using specialist knowledge of various agricultural products and supplies.

A typical day may involve:

  • Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales and inventory of a range of products and services, including animal health, ag chem and general merchandise products.
  • You will work closely with store management and sales teams, providing support such as stock takes, retail operations improvements, on farm meetings, technical information and mentoring to enhance performance.
  • You will have input into strategic planning and manage the branch's financial performance. You will negotiate with suppliers and develop pricing strategies, oversee stock levels and marketing initiatives to maintain a competitive position for all lines.
  • You will analyse market trends, climatic and seasonal considerations to ensure we remain the first choice for rural customers in the region.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience within pricing and margin management, and achieving sales targets through effective category development.
  • The ability to network and identify opportunities for business growth will be crucial to success.
  • You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to foster solid long-term relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders, together with the ability to drive business outcomes and performance.
  • You will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ideally you will have exposure to SAP ERP, together with strong MS Excel skills for reporting.
  • A current and clean drivers license is required, and a Forklift ticket is highly advantageous.
