Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist Role

This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and young people. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate caseworker to join our team.

As an Aboriginal caseworker, you will work closely with families, community members, and other agencies to provide support and guidance. Your role will involve conducting risk assessments, developing safety plans, and working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A relevant diploma or degree qualification is preferred, although applicants without a qualification may be considered if they can demonstrate at least two years' experience working with vulnerable children and their families.

A valid driver's license and willingness to drive are essential requirements for this role. You will also need to obtain a Working with Children clearance number and be fully vaccinated against certain diseases.

The successful applicant will have a deep understanding of the cultural needs of Aboriginal children and families, as well as the ability to communicate effectively across language and cultural barriers.
