Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Advisor to join our team at Public Sector People. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing social sustainability policies, strategies, and action plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Policy Development: Develop strategic approaches to social sustainability, collaborating with stakeholders to provide advice and support.
  2. Research and Analysis: Conduct primary and secondary research to inform social and strategic planning outcomes.
  3. Community Engagement: Engage with community groups and stakeholders to understand social challenges and opportunities.
  4. Project Management: Manage requests for quote and consultants to deliver contracts, and respond to referrals on social impact assessments.
  5. Reporting and Communication: Develop and maintain reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant social science discipline (e.g., sociology, human geography, anthropology, social planning).
  2. Experience: Experience and evidenced competence in the application of social science to social impact, and experience in social planning and/or social sustainability.
  3. Skills: Excellent collaboration and communication (written and verbal) skills, and primary and secondary research expertise.
