Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist to support vulnerable children and families in our community. As a specialist, you will work collaboratively with clients, agencies, and other stakeholders to provide guidance, support, and resources to ensure the safety and well-being of children.

The successful candidate will have a relevant diploma or degree qualification and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will also require a valid driver's license and documented verification of Aboriginality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide case management services to families and individuals
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to develop and implement case plans
  • Conduct home visits and assessments to identify risks and needs
  • Develop and implement safety plans to protect children from harm
  • Manage complex cases involving high-risk clients and families
  • Prepare and attend court proceedings as required
Requirements:
  • Relevant diploma or degree qualification
  • At least two years' experience working with vulnerable children and families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Documented verification of Aboriginality
