Commercial Diver

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Diver to join our team at Queensland Commercial Diving Services Pty Ltd in Townsville, QLD. The successful candidate will play a vital role in conducting underwater inspections, construction, and maintenance on various marine structures.

• This is a full-time position with competitive annualised salary and superannuation.
• The Commercial Diver will conduct underwater tasks in pressurised environments, using visual and tactile methods to identify corrosion, cracks, or other signs of wear.
• The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent physical strength, and stamina.
• The ideal candidate must have minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position and be available to work overtime and travel to conduct works onsite as required.

• Analyse project specifications, including depth, duration, and specific welding tasks required.
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards associated with the dive, including environmental conditions and equipment risks.
• Ensure all diving gear and welding equipment are in proper working order.
• Execute dives, adjusting techniques as needed based on water conditions.
• Conduct thorough inspections of underwater structures, including bridges, piers, and pipelines.
• Use hand tools and specialized equipment to perform repairs on damaged structures.
• Assist in the assembly or installation of underwater structures.
• Operate various tools and equipment to carry out construction tasks efficiently and safely.
• Adhere strictly to established safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintain detailed records of dive parameters for regulatory compliance and project tracking.
• Document activities, including materials used and inspection results.
• Collaborate with other divers, engineers, and support personnel to ensure seamless project execution.

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.

$85,000 - $105,000 per annum.
