Procurement Buyer - Logistics

We're seeking a seasoned Procurement professional to join our team in a strategic role with UK & I responsibilities. As a Regional Procurement Buyer, you'll lead and manage the procurement of Logistics for the region, working closely with the Global Lead to maintain and develop the supplier base, drive strategic relationships, and execute material group strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement category strategies for Logistics, focusing on key strategic deliverables: cost optimization, supply continuity, sustainability, and innovation.
  2. Build strong SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) in partnership with the global head across global and regional strategic suppliers.
  3. Collaborate cross-functionally with regional teams to deliver regional projects for productivity and business continuity.
  4. Negotiate contract terms, liaising with legal and the supplier to provide maximum value to the business.
  5. Manage supplier performance issues, being the first point of contact for business stakeholders within the category.

Requirements:

  1. Graduate qualification or proven experience in indirect procurement.
  2. Negotiation and commercial analytical skills, with experience in supplier/customer relationship management.
  3. Project management and leadership skills, including the ability to make strong recommendations.
  4. The ability to think strategically and set a 3-year category plan.
  5. Excellent communication and influencing skills within the team and across the business.
