Orchard Management Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our orchards, ensuring their success and efficiency. Key areas of focus include:

  • Managing fruit harvesting, irrigation programs, and fertiliser programs to maximise yields.
  • Maintaining and coordinating farm machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensuring farms and surrounding areas are well-maintained and kept in good working order.

Maintenance is crucial to prevent equipment failures and ensure plants remain healthy and productive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating transport on and off the orchards of produce.
  • Running day-to-day packing shed duties and co-ordinating computer grading programs.
  • Implementing pest and disease management strategies to protect crops.
  • General day-to-day running of the orchards.

Requirements:

  • Experience operating farm machinery.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
