Senior Project Manager Opportunity

AGL is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to deliver a landmark wind energy project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder and community engagement.

Key Purpose of the Role
  • Support the development and management of wind projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage contract administration, stakeholder coordination, compliance with industry standards, and project execution.
  • Lead safety initiatives, mitigate risks, manage interfaces, oversee contractors, and ensure quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
  1. Run the delivery of a major greenfield wind project shaping Australia's renewable future.
  2. Ensure safety excellence and foster a collaborative, high-performing project culture.
  3. Oversee end-to-end project management-design, construction, commissioning, and stakeholder engagement.
  4. Drive commercial success through robust contract management, budgeting, and risk mitigation.
  5. Build lasting relationships with communities, landowners, and other key stakeholders.
Requirements
  1. Demonstrate a high standard of safety performance.
  2. Hold strong project management skills with experience in best practice methodologies.
  3. Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills with superior influencing capabilities.
  4. Have extensive risk management and contract negotiation experience.
  5. Display problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, or similar disciplines.
  • Experience delivering complex projects in the renewable energy sector (preferably wind).
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale energy projects, including EPC contract model construction.
  • Excellent assurance capabilities ensuring adherence to project management frameworks.
  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholders, including regulators and government agencies.
