Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions to safeguard information assets.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver secure, compliant, and resilient solutions that align with industry frameworks and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise security solutions aligned with frameworks such as ISO 27001 and Essential Eight.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and controls to mitigate threats and meet compliance requirements.
  • Conduct regular security risk assessments for new and existing platforms, recommending improvements to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of systems and data.
  • Respond to security incidents by detecting, containing, eradicating, recovering, and analyzing post-incident reviews.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base articles, playbooks, and security documentation to support the team's efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide input on security requirements for vendor contracts, RFPs, and SOWs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, CEH, or Microsoft Security Suite.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a cyber security engineering or related role.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and reviewing enterprise security solutions.
  • A strong understanding of security frameworks, including ISO 27001, Essential Eight, and ASD ISM.
  • Skilled in assessing and managing cyber risks within enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, NDR, EDR, XDR, and Microsoft suite.
  • Ability to stay updated across emerging threats and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Experience conducting security risk assessments and third-party assessments.
  • Strong communication skills, able to deliver security awareness training.
