Job Opportunity

Are you a motivated and skilled individual looking to take on a challenging role in underground hardrock mining operations? We are seeking an experienced Ug Mine Technician to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing accurate uphole and downhole drilling to design requirements, reading ground conditions, maintaining equipment in clean and reliable working condition, and promptly reporting any safety-related incidents or property damage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate uphole and downhole drilling to design specifications.
  • Read ground conditions and stop the job if necessary to request additional ground support.
  • Maintain equipment in clean and reliable working condition.
  • Promptly report any safety-related incidents or property damage.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in underground hardrock mining operations.
  • Efficient operation of underground long hole drills, preferably E7C Simba.
  • Proficient in operating and troubleshooting EPIROC AutoDrill systems.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and accurately execute long hole drill designs.
  • High level of safety awareness with a can-do attitude.
  • A valid Australian manual driver's licence.
  • A Working at Heights ticket will be required prior to commencement.
