Caregiver Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care Services: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and organized living environment, including laundry services as needed.
  • Meal Preparation and Grocery Shopping: Prepare healthy meals and snacks, and assist with grocery shopping as required.
  • Transportation and Social Support: Provide safe transportation to appointments and social events, and engage in conversations to combat loneliness and isolation.
  • Mobility Assistance: Assist clients with mobility issues, including transfers, ambulation, and exercise programs.
  • Medication Management: Assist clients with medication management, including dispensing, reminders, and monitoring side effects.
  • Complex Care: Provide specialized care for clients with complex needs, such as dementia, Parkinson's disease, and other chronic conditions.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A valid driver's license, own insured vehicle, and relevant experience (minimum 3 months) in caregiving or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, patience, and physical stamina.
