Job Description

We are seeking a Trades Assistant to join our team in a brand-new workshop located in Kenwick. This is an ongoing role with a view to permanency, offering early knock off on Fridays and weekly pay.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting workshop operations, including assembly and refurbishment of crushing and screening equipment. They will also assist fitters and other trades in fitting, painting preparation, use of workshop equipment, high-pressure cleaning, forklift duties, and assisting with stock/parts deliveries in a work vehicle.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude, workshop experience, and a High Risk Forklift License. A manual driver's license is also required for delivery purposes. Additionally, they should be able to use power tools, hand tools, and HP cleaners, as well as demonstrate ability to work in a team, multi-task, and show initiative.

As part of the hiring process, candidates must pass a drug and alcohol screen. The selected candidate will be offered a competitive rate based on their skills and experience, up to $38 per hour.

Benefits

Working hours: 38 hours per week, with optional Saturday work, Monday to Thursday (6am - 2:30pm), and Fridays (early knock off at 6am to midday). The workshop is state-of-the-art, modern, and brand new, with safety being a top priority.
