Water Treatment Specialist

The Water Treatment Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality water services to the community. This critical infrastructure position requires expertise in managing water treatment processes and compliance with legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage potable water treatment processes in line with relevant standards.
  • Oversee staff training, operational data management, and reporting to regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct WHS audits, manage project delivery, and lead the water treatment team through regular operational meetings to maintain performance and compliance.

The successful candidate will be part of a values-driven team that prioritizes resilience, empathy, sustainability, pride, efficiency, courage, and teamwork. They will work closely with stakeholders to deliver treatment services and contribute to the Council's vision for a thriving future for all who call Wingecarribee home.

Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in Engineering or Science field.
  • NSW Health Fluoridation Certification for Public Water Supplies.
  • 5 years minimum experience in Water Treatment or related field.
  • Proven ability in budget development, monitoring, and management.
  • Well-developed analytical skills with high-level written and verbal communication skills.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, including the ability to network clearly and effectively with key stakeholders, provide technical advice, and drive performance. They must also hold a C-Class Drivers Licence and WHS Induction Card.
