As a Television Licence Field Officer, you will conduct site visits to customers without a TV licence at various addresses within their communities. Your role is to inform and educate them on the legislation behind the TV licence, explain how they can obtain one, and facilitate a payment plan that suits their needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Visit residential properties where no TV licence is registered and engage with customers to understand their reasoning for not having a licence.
- Accurately record visit details and submit daily timesheets in a timely manner.
- Explain and promote the benefits of all TV licence payment schemes.
- Process payments accurately and maintain records as required.
- Attend court proceedings when necessary to provide evidence in prosecution cases.
- A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.
- Physical mobility is necessary due to the nature of the job, which involves visiting multiple locations daily.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a high standard of verbal and written English, are required.
