Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Governance & Public Officer to lead our team in liaising with the public. This dynamic role involves overseeing governance and procurement systems, frameworks, and functions to ensure compliance with legislation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement governance policies, processes, and procedures that meet statutory requirements.
  • Manage customer access to information through formal and informal applications.
  • Oversee procurement and contract management policy framework development and monitoring.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, business papers, minutes, and coordinate Council Chambers setup.
Requirements
  • Mastery of 10 years or more experience in a similar governance role with extensive managerial responsibilities.
  • A degree in Law, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in governance and procurement, preferably within local government.
