The successful candidate will provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to 1 Partner and Lawyers as part of a collaborative, dynamic 2 Partner practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with clients, lawyers, and Partners via email, MS Teams, and telephone, as well as in-person.
  • Email and diary management.
  • Coordination of client and internal team meetings and internal/external functions.
  • Opening and closing of matters, including e-filing and physical archiving via Aderant Expert (billing) and iManage (document management) systems.
  • Time entry, preparation, and processing of monthly invoices.
  • Creating, drafting, editing, and formatting a range of complex documents.
  • Maintaining the team's client database.
  • Assisting with business development and tendering activities.
  • Booking travel arrangements.
  • General ad hoc administrative duties.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a legal secretary (or similar) with an understanding of legal terminology.
  • A high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • A proactive approach, enthusiasm to work independently, and excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong typing and computer skills, and competent in the Microsoft Office Suite and relevant legal software programs (experience with iManage/Filesite and Aderant Expert is highly regarded).
  • Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work within set timeframes.
