Cloud Infrastructure Migration Lead

We are seeking a seasoned cloud infrastructure specialist to lead a high-priority migration project.

Project Overview

The selected candidate will play a hands-on role in driving this process and collaborating with stakeholders.

This project involves migrating VMware workloads to Oracle KVM across a large enterprise environment, expected to last six months.

The project spans over 30 national sites, requiring the migration of approximately 300-360 VMs from VMware (vSphere/vCenter/ESXi) to Oracle KVM (Oracle Linux Virtualisation Manager).

Key Responsibilities
  • Proven background in VMware migrations (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, clustering, HA/DRS)
  • Strong knowledge of KVM-based virtualization (Oracle KVM/OLVM, libvirt, qemu-kvm)
  • Hands-on experience with virt-v2v or similar tools for VM conversion/migration
  • Experience with shared storage (SAN/NAS, iSCSI, multipath) in clustered environments
  • Ability to plan, document, and execute migration runbooks at scale
  • Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills
