Risk Management Specialist

This is a 4-month temporary assignment to support the implementation of child safety policies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Child Safety Risk Assessments on site with stakeholders to evaluate harm, risk of harm, and recommend control measures.
- Review and inform Child Safe Risk Assessments in collaboration with subject matter experts across child safety, youth programs, service delivery, operations, health, safety, and wellbeing.
- Develop educational materials to support child safety risk assessments within the organisation's programs and service delivery functions.
- Partner across the organisation, sector partners, and external stakeholders to ensure effective risk management and compliance with child safety legislation and regulation.
- Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating Child Safety Risk Assessments.
- Extensive experience leading risk assessments involving vulnerable children and young people.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills to influence and build trust at all levels.
- Knowledge of risk systems and end-to-end risk management with experience in assurance processes.
- Qualifications in Compliance and Risk, Quality Management, or related field are preferred.
- Experience using Protecht is highly desirable.
- Valid Working with Children Check is required.
- A current driver's licence is mandatory for travel across the state.
