People Operations Director

We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee our People team, driving the delivery of a consistent and proactive people agenda across our properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in human resources, with at least 10 years' experience in a senior role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, developing and coaching our People Operations team, ensuring they deliver optimum services to their business leaders. They will also be expected to develop and empower senior stakeholders to perform as effective leaders, delivering on our People operating model.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of the property-based People team to drive a consistent and proactive people agenda
  • Leading, developing and coaching the People Operations team to deliver optimum services
  • Couching and empowering senior stakeholders to perform as effective leaders
  • Ensuring effective business partnering to facilitate a strong understanding of business needs

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years' work experience in a human resource related role (with 5 years at a senior level)
  • Strong relationship, coaching, influencing and communication skills
  • Experience in employee relations with sound knowledge of employment law and enterprise bargaining negotiations
  • Knowledge of the Australian Employment Law landscape or the ability to quickly come up to speed
  • Regulatory experience, including in remediation contexts
  • Experience in highly regulated sectors as well as hospitality or other customer focused environments
