Job Title: Online Merchandising Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Online Merchandising Specialist to join our marketing team. This role will be responsible for the visual merchandising of our product catalogue on our websites, improving navigation and discoverability of products we sell.

This position reports to our Head of Marketing Content & Merchandising and optimises product discovery journeys to ensure our customers have an exceptional shopping experience.

The ideal candidate will combine commercial and creative aspects of Marketing, with a customer-centric approach and a great eye for detail.

  • Building knowledge of categories and how customers shop them through online research and collaboration with the Purchasing team
  • Researching product specification requirements in all categories to set standards for product information from suppliers
  • Implementing product merchandising best practices and quality control processes with the Purchasing team
  • Maintaining and updating website content, including navigation, search optimisation, category and product page updates
  • Conducting customer and competitor research to build deep understanding of category merchandising
  • Analysing visitor browsing and purchasing behaviour to inform product strategies
  • Supporting data analysis and reporting to drive business decisions

Key responsibilities include building strong relationships with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across business units, and driving business outcomes through strategic planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A University Degree in a relevant field (Marketing, Communications or similar)
  • Experience in Merchandising, Digital Marketing, Category Management or CX functions, preferably in Retail or eCommerce
  • Passion for understanding consumer behaviour and improving customer experience
  • Analytical skills and experience with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work autonomously
