We are seeking an experienced Digital Engagement Producer to join our innovative team at State Library Victoria.

  • This is a creative communications and engagement role that involves producing innovative online content and events, as well as engaging visitors and audiences with the Library's digital R&D by working on multidisciplinary specialist teams including technologists and software developers, designers, librarians and information management specialists.

The ideal candidate will be able to ensure that the Lab's activities find their audience outside the Library. This is a mid-career opportunity where a background in science or technology communication is likely to be beneficial to your success in the role.

Responsibilities include developing and delivering high-quality digital content, coordinating public programs and logistics, collaborating with external partners, and building relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated industry experience in hands-on digital content production.
  • Experience creating accessible content for the web.
  • Project coordination skills, preferably in digital content development, AV production, or podcast development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex subject matter to diverse stakeholders.
  • A track record of successfully building and maintaining productive and cooperative stakeholder relationships.
  • A continuous improvement focus, evidenced by exploring experimental processes and adopting new approaches.
