We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a clinic-based role. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated professional to work with children aged up to 16 years, providing individual therapy and support to help them achieve their goals.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, implementing therapy plans, and collaborating with families and carers to provide the best possible outcomes for the children. They will also have the opportunity to work closely with other therapists and stakeholders to share knowledge and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct informal and standardized assessments to effectively assess and establish therapy plans.
  • Collaborate closely with participants, their families and carers to provide therapy support to identify the best course of action and increase the child's functioning and family well-being.
  • Liaise with team, family, specialist services and other stakeholders as appropriately needed.
  • Documenting tasks including keeping up to date client treatment notes and report writing.

Requirements:

  • A qualification in Occupational Therapy as recognized by AHPRA.
  • Current membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid and CPR training or willingness to obtain.
  • Open driver's license and access to a car.

Skill and Experience Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • A comprehensive understanding of the needs of children with a diverse range of disabilities.
  • Demonstrated skills, with a sound understanding of your role as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work in a small team environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills and flexibility.
