About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Vision Australia. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are blind or have low vision to achieve their goals and live independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Client Assessment and Planning:** Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and develop personalized plans to achieve their goals.
  • **Service Delivery:** Provide individual and group occupational therapy services to clients, including training and support in daily living skills, employment, and community participation.
  • **Assistive Technology:** Assess and train clients in the use of assistive devices and equipment to enhance their access to daily activities.
  • **Collaboration and Communication:** Work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery and optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

  • **Qualifications:** Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a disability support or rehabilitation setting.
  • **Skills:** Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse client groups.
