Power System Engineer Opportunity

This is a full-time job position with an immediate start. You will be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane and work under a hybrid model.

  • The role involves conducting complex power system analyses to maximize project value and manage technical risks across all phases of renewable energy projects.

About the Role:

As a Power System Engineer, you will develop and implement static, dynamic, and transient models for electrical power systems in wind farms, solar PV farms, energy storage systems, and hybrid generation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design control algorithms and solutions for complex network characteristics and performance requirements.
  • Perform electrical design studies, including load flow, short circuit, voltage profile, and system losses.
  • Conduct specialized power system analyses, including harmonic analysis and insulation coordination.
  • Lead grid compliance studies, such as voltage control, frequency response, and fault ride-through.
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations, providing technical recommendations based on simulation results.
  • Provide training and support to global teams, developing and maintaining systems and processes across regions.

Qualifications:

A PhD or degree in Electrical Engineering, Power System Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
