Sedation Nurse Career Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Paediatric Sedation Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at the Women's and Children's Health Network.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with paediatric sedation experience to deliver high-quality, family-centred care to children requiring sedation services. As a Paediatric Sedation Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering expert nursing care to patients undergoing sedation procedures.
- Collaborating with anaesthetic consultants, nurse consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Developing and implementing best-practice sedation protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
- Providing leadership and clinical teaching to colleagues, students, and less experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualised patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide timely interventions to mitigate potential complications.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication administration and vital signs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Registered nurse with current practising certificate.
- Paediatric life support certification (or willingness to complete).
- Minimum 3 years post-registration experience in paediatric nursing or related field.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
