Job Opportunity: Academic Mentor

Elevate your career as an academic mentor and make a positive impact on students' lives. We are seeking enthusiastic high school graduates to join our team of tutors.

The role involves tutoring students from K-12, lesson planning for private lessons and classes, and creating effective material for tutors to teach. You will also motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic goals with a can-do attitude.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have graduated high school (with some exceptions considered)
  • Hold a driver's license (preferred)
  • Can work after-school hours and weekends
  • Are able to hold online lessons temporarily
  • Have great written and verbal communication skills
  • Can maintain a strong relationship with students and parents
  • Have a strong work-ethic, punctuality, and organisation

As an academic mentor, you will enjoy autonomy in creating lessons, flexible scheduling, and competitive hourly rates based on student year level. We provide resources and facilities, as well as referral bonuses.

This is a part-time, casual position with expected hours ranging from 5-10 per week. The schedule includes afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday, with weekend availability.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Tutoring students from K-12
  2. Lesson planning for private lessons and classes
  3. Creating effective material for tutors to teach
  4. Motivating and inspiring students to achieve their academic goals
