Job Description:

Airds High School is a co-educational high school that operates under the Connected Communities Strategy. The school offers a broad academic and vocational curriculum, catering for students of all ability levels.

The school has 522 students, including 146 Aboriginal students, 94 EAL/D students, and 68 students in the Support Unit. The Support Unit caters for students with intellectual disabilities.

The school aims to create a safe and stimulating learning environment that develops confident, resilient, and responsible citizens.

Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. They should have strong leadership skills and the capacity to implement curriculum reform by embedding evidence-based teaching strategies.

They should also be able to lead and manage a high-quality team, demonstrating the capacity to engage and motivate others to improve professional knowledge and practice.

Key Responsibilities include leading evaluative practices, using data to inform practice, improving teaching and learning, and achieving positive student outcomes.

Requirements include successful teaching experience, knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare, educational leadership skills, and well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
