Carer Position Overview

The Multi Skilled Carer position is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team. As a Carer, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a harmonious working environment and provide exceptional care to residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support residents' physical, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing through individualised care delivery
  • Assist with residents' care needs in line with their care plan
  • Collaborate with team members to promote a positive and respectful work environment
  • Support and advocate the rights of older people
  • Assist with personal hygiene, showering, and toileting
  • Assist with activities of daily living, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist at mealtimes including feeding
  • Administer medication
Requirements:
  • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination per organisational policies
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checks
  • Certificate III/IV in Individual Support – Aging
  • Willingness to attend a compulsory 7-day induction at our training institute
  • NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
  • Previous experience administering medications (desirable)
  • Effective communication skills and ability to develop meaningful relationships with residents

This is a part-time position working 51 hours per fortnight with shifts from 7:00am to 12:45pm. You will be primarily based at Mosman Park Care Centre then travelling to other South of the River sites as required.
