Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Plant Fitter to join our award-winning team in Toowoomba. This permanent role involves working Monday to Friday in the workshop, with a focus on repairing and maintaining Caterpillar equipment components, including engines, transmissions, final drives, and hydraulics.

The successful candidate will possess relevant trade qualifications, a fork lift licence is desirable, and a commitment to safe work practices. They will also be physically fit to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screening.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintenance of Caterpillar equipment components
  • Maintenance of all paperwork associated with job completion
  • Use of Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi and SIS)
  • Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment and participation in safety initiatives
  • Monitor time management to maximise efficiency
  • Act as a mentor for apprentices

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $60-$80 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
