This role combines hands-on gardening with light maintenance duties, offering variety and purpose in your day-to-day work.

  • Maintain gardens and outdoor areas: mowing, pruning, fertilising, and removing garden waste
  • Perform general maintenance and minor repairs across the facility
  • Support preventative maintenance schedules
  • Assist and supervise contractors, volunteers, and other maintenance workers
  • Provide pet care (where applicable) and perform orderly duties
  • Keep accurate records using our asset management system

You'll be working as part of a supportive team, helping to create a safe, welcoming, and peaceful environment for residents.

Your Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Maintenance of gardens and outdoor areas
  2. General maintenance and minor repairs
  3. Preventative maintenance support
  4. Contractor supervision
  5. Pet care and orderly duties
  6. Record keeping

You'll need to have at least 12 months' experience in a maintenance, gardening, or handyman role, along with a current driver's licence and knowledge of Work Health and Safety practices.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you'll need to have:

  • At least 12 months' experience in a maintenance, gardening, or handyman role
  • A current driver's licence
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety practices
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

It's a bonus if you have experience in aged care or community services, familiarity with asset management systems, or relevant non-trade qualifications.
