About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Retail Sales Manager to lead our store network and drive sales growth in Preston. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maximising sales opportunities, coaching and developing your team, and maintaining store presentation and merchandising.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a small team to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Provide high-level customer service, assisting customers with product selection and technical advice.
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing customers to increase repeat business.
  • Tint and prepare paint products to customer requirements.
  • Maintain stock control and management of inventory to meet customer demands.
  • Act as an escalation point for customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Process Point of Sale transactions and ensure accurate end-of-day reporting.
  • Make local deliveries to trade customers as needed using company vehicles.
  • Assist with in-store displays, store presentation, and merchandising to drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to grow trade, industrial, and retail business.
  • Promote a safety-first approach in-store to protect employees and customers.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills complemented by experience in coaching, developing, and mentoring teams.
  • Previous experience working as a 2IC in a customer-facing role in retail or sales is essential.
  • Excellent people and customer engagement skills to build strong relationships.
  • A genuine desire to deliver outstanding customer service and lead by example.
  • Familiarity with Point of Sale systems and ability to use technology effectively.
  • Experience with stock handling and merchandising to meet customer demands.
  • Effective time management and planning capabilities to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Resilience to handle work-related pressures such as workload, pace, or conflict.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to perform manual tasks, such as lifting heavy containers.
