Job Title:

Retail Design Manager.

We are seeking a highly skilled retail design manager to join our team and take on the challenge of managing creative solutions across retail store formats.

The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in multi-project construction management within the retail or hospitality sectors, with excellent written and clear communication skills, and a proactive approach to building lasting partnerships.

As a retail design manager, you will be responsible for leading project management, preparing architectural briefs, adopting a collaborative design approach, and developing practical small-scope solutions for retail and maintenance needs.

You will conduct site surveys, provide expert architectural and construction feedback to stakeholders, manage relationships with external consultants and contractors, and apply financial acumen, including quantity surveying, budget forecasting, and negotiating project tenders.

Orchestrate permitting, engineering, and external services for building and occupancy, ensuring compliance with lease agreements. Implement quality assurance through factory and site visits, meticulous shop drawing review, and defect rectification.

Drive innovation by sourcing samples and engaging in continuous research and trial for new materials and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets and schedules.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and tenders.
  • Conduct site surveys and provide expert architectural and construction feedback.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality results.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in retail or hospitality construction management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
