Senior Finance Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance team and provide strategic financial guidance to the organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with legislative policy, organisational objectives, budget and designated timeframes.

The role involves managing cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs, working collaboratively with the Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team and Senior Managers to identify, develop and implement financial improvement opportunities that meet organisational commitments.

The Financial Controller will oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting and support the ongoing effective business partnering relationship. They will also oversee the annual budget process, providing support and direction as required to the FP&A Manager.

In addition, the Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all internal, external and Country Club reporting requirements, developing, updating and ensuring compliance with finance related policies. Conduct regular training sessions to increase policy knowledge across the business.

The role also involves setting frameworks and processes to ensure the delivery of timely and clean annual audits for the organisation and all shared services clubs.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant qualification and at least 10 years' experience in leading the preparation of management reports, budgets and forecasting.

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing, detail-focused and organised with the proven capacity to take on and deliver on multiple and varied projects and competing deadlines.

Evidence of good consultation, communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with others to negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes.

Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams, as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone.

Solutions focused process improvement and understanding of and commitment to the embedding of values, mission and vision of the organisation.

• CA or CPA qualification with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Experience with preparation of Statutory Accounts essential. Relevant Government agency experience highly desirable.
• 10+ years' finance experience in leading the preparation of management reports, budgets and forecasting.
