Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, as well as contributing to the development of engineering solutions for clients.

About This Role

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

The role involves working on-site at client facilities, as well as in our workshop, and requires the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and assistance in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment
  • Contribute to the development of engineering solutions for clients
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve project objectives
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and within budget
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized qualification in Mechanical Engineering Technician
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working on sites such as power generation, mining or pulp and paper
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
