Job Description

The Program Support Officer plays a pivotal role in the Implementation Support Project, collaborating with Primary Health Networks to enhance regional mental health services and Medicare Mental Health Centres.

To achieve project objectives, each team member is responsible for various activities and outcomes, which are reviewed regularly with team members and managers.

This position requires strong project coordination skills, administrative support expertise, and contract management experience.

  • Provide project support and coordination for the Implementation Support Project.
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of project activities.
  • Offer administrative support to the Implementation Support Project Manager, Coordinator, external partnership groups, and networks.
  • Guide and facilitate contract administration, including due diligence checks, stakeholder updates, and tracking receipts and invoices.
  • Coordinate meetings and events, including online national stakeholder meetings of 50+ people.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The following capabilities are essential for success in this role:

  • Qualifications or experience in administrative and project support activities, including organizing meetings, taking minutes, and diary management in a computerized work environment.
  • Exemplary phone and customer service skills, including experience dealing with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
  • Knowledge of the primary healthcare industry and mental health service provision is highly desirable.
  • Engages with others at all levels with respect, collaboration, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Drives innovation – contributes to our culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Shapes systems – works productively within internal and external systems and networks.
