Healthcare Support Specialist

The role of a Registered Nurse is a vital part of our school's health and wellbeing strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare to students in our Health Centre, working closely with the Health Centre Manager to ensure the highest level of care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver timely assessment, treatment, and referral of ill and injured students.
- Provide daily care for boarding students and assist with the care of day students until their parents can take responsibility for their health.
- Respond to staff and student requests for assistance and provide emergency first aid as needed.
- Be available term-time weekdays at short notice to cover illness and leave.
About You:
- Must be a Registered Nurse with current registration.
- Experience working with children in schools, adolescent/child health, general practice, and/or mental health is highly regarded.
- Ability to engage and work with a range of stakeholders, particularly young people and their parents.
- Excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
Requirements:
- A First Aid Certificate with CPR is required.
- Must have the right to work in Australia and hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.
