Digital Forensics Specialist

This is a key role in our organization's cybersecurity efforts, focusing on incident investigation & response, digital forensics, and process automation/upgrades.

The successful candidate will collaborate with various global teams operating in a follow-the-sun model to monitor, detect, and respond to InfoSec threats.

Key responsibilities include leading and supporting security incident investigations, conducting root cause analysis, producing IR reports, collecting, preserving, and analyzing evidence from endpoints, networks, and cloud environments, and identifying IOC's and TTP's used by threat actors.

Suitable candidates will have proven multi-level cyber incident response experience in enterprise environments, a digital forensics background, and strategic communication skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven incident response experience in cybersecurity
  • Background in digital forensics
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, and forensic tools
  • Threat hunting skills with query development abilities
  • Ability to translate orchestration documents into SOAR playbooks
  • Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
  • Knowledge of cloud security and incident response in cloud environments
  • Experience within enterprise settings, preferably with dispersed teams
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

Benefits

This is a full-time, permanent role offering hybrid work arrangements with a salary range of approximately $140,000 - $150,000, depending on experience.

Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain NV1 clearance are mandatory.

This position supports hybrid working.
